Jazz
Jazz is an exciting, high-energy dance form that develops technique, rhythm, and style while building strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It focuses on clean lines, turns, jumps, and tricks. Jazz dance includes strength, flexibility, and conditioning technique and progressions, including turns, kicks, and leaps. The dancers also learn fun and trendy dance steps and combinations in this class. This a perfect class to start your dance training. Jazz is a great way to get moving and improve your fitness. The dancers will build stamina and cardiovascular endurance while strengthening muscles throughout the entire body. Jazz is also a great workout for the brain! This class requires memorization of dance steps and patterns as well as coordination of the arms and legs. As a result, jazz helps to improve focus, concentration, and cognitive skills. Contemporary/Lyrical
Contemporary dance is a style of dance that combines techniques and elements of both ballet and modern dance. Contemporary/Lyrical dancers strive to express their emotions and ideas through their movements, often using music as inspiration. Contemporary dance classes typically focus on teaching students how to interpret and respond to choreography, as well as how to pick up stylized movements. This class is recommended for those who have some prior dance experience, particularly in ballet or technique. Students will have the opportunity to explore the contemporary style and learn introductory-level Contemporary techniques. The class will also focus on emotional expression and musicality. Hip Hop
Hip Hop is an energetic combination of a very diverse range of street dance styles. Dancers will learn movements influenced by today’s newest music and video choreography and be encouraged to develop their own personal style through freestyle movement and picking up choreography. Acro
Acrobatics is a gymnastic-based discipline that uses strength and flexibility to perform tricks. In acrobatics class, students undergo conditioning exercises to prepare them for tricks of increasing difficulty. These exercises teach flexibility, balance, strength, and coordination – all key acrobatic skills. Littles
We have 3 styles of classes for ages 18 months to 5 years old. (Ready, Set, Move!, Tumble Time and Creative Movement) These are fun and interactive classes designed to introduce young students to dance. The instructor uses fun games, props, stories, and songs to teach balance, rhythm, and coordination. Basic ballet , acro and jazz steps are also taught in this fun class. This is a great class for young students who are interested in dance and want to learn more about it. It’s also a great way for students to get some exercise and have fun at the same time!
